Looking for a cultural escape in Provence this summer? Meet at L'Isle‑sur‑la‑Sorgue, the charming town of canals, antique markets, and Provençal art de vivre, to discover three remarkable exhibitions presented by Gallery Retour De Voyage. From May 14 to August 15, 2026, three singular artistic worlds unfold in succession: a journey through a mythical bestiary, an exploration of the living world and a powerful reflection on contemporary Myanmar..
A Gallery Open to the World
Nestled in the heart of Provence, within the boutique-hotel La Maison sur la Sorgue, Galerie Retour De Voyage is more than an exhibition space: It is a passport to inner worlds. Faithful to its mission of bringing together artists from across the globe, the gallery welcomes creators whose work is shaped by travel, exile and memory.

« L’alliance intérieure » – Ruta Jusionyte (14 May – June 28, 2026)
Ruta Jusionyte opens the season with paintings and sculptures. where humans and animals seem to breathe as one. Her poetic universe brings forth hybrid creatures, myths and dreamlike narratives. Now based in Provence, the internationally recognised, Lithuanian artist, creates powerful and sensitive works that invite us to reconcile our wild and civilised selves. If you are visiting Provence in May or June, do not miss this exhibition: It is an immersion into a world where anything feels possible.

« The Other Land » – Jephan de Villiers (29 May – July 5, 2026)
Working at the crossroads of sculpture and installation, Jephan de Villiers gathers branches, bark, fibers, fragments to construct another world. His « traces of memory» explore our relationship with the living world. Each piece seems to emerge from an ancient ritual or a forgotten civilisation. If you are drawn to raw art and subtle narratives, this exhibition is for you. And if you have not yet encountered this remarkable humanist artist, whose work is present in museums and public collections across Europe, this stop will beautifully enrich your stroll through the streets of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

«The Strength within Silence » – Khin Zaw Latt (10 July – August 15, 2026)
Khin Zaw Latt is one of the leading figures of the contemporary Myanmar art scene. His recent works are imbued with memory and resilience: offering a contemporary perspective on Myanmar while bearing witness to lived realities. Colours vibrate, silhouettes emerge and dissolve, and silence itself becomes a language. At the height of summer, this exhibition brings moving depth to a Provençal escape.
